1 – Wiper ring for piston rod
Prevents the entry of solid matter and reduces oil film.
2 – Side valve
Through a cross valve the pressure of the installed gas springs can be adjusted. Cross-springs should be taken into account when calculating the length (GL) of the gas spring.
3 – Piston rod sealing
Prevents condensation the entry of cleaning agents and other foreign bodies into the release system of the locking gas springs.
4 – Oil chamber
Constant greasing of the piston rod means less friction and the gas springs can be independently installed. By the choice of gas springs a reduction of the serviceable piston stroke needs to be taken into account.
5 – Schraeder valve
6 – Protection tube for piston rod
Protects the piston rod from mechanical damage and reduces the risk of bending by long strokes.
7 – Floating piston
Hydraulic oil, damping over the whole piston stoke area, irrelevant of installation position.
8 – Mechanical locking device
Mechanical locking when the piston rod is extended. The locking device should be taken into account when calculating the length (GL) of the gas spring.
9 – Short release for locking gas springs
The release path in locking gas springs is 0,1 – 0,2 mm (standard 2 – 5 mm).
B3 – Sealing system
For gas springs with high pressure and loading, e.g. for use in building machinery. This system makes it possible to install the gas spring anywhere.
By the choice of gas springs a reduction of the serviceable piston stroke needs to be taken into account.
NT – Low temperature design
For the use of gas springs at temperatures of down to -40°C. This system makes it possible to install the gas spring anywhere. By the choice of gas springs a reduction of the serviceable piston stroke needs to be taken into account.
HT – High temperature design
For the use of gas springs at temperatures of up to 200°C. This system makes it possible to install the gas spring anywhere. By the choice of gas springs a reduction of the serviceable piston stroke needs to be taken into account.
RK – Friction element
Increases the friction force in gas springs for the safer positioning of windows and hatches etc.
