1) Do your gas springs comply with the hygiene regulations for foodstuffs?
All HAHN gas springs and accessories can be supplied in stainless steel material 1.4305/AISI 303/304 or 1.4571/AISI 316 TI so that they can be used in the food and medical industry with no concern for hygiene or health issues.

2) Are your products ROHS certified?
Yes our products comply with the regulations refered to in 2002/95/EC (ROHS).

3) Are all your products in stock?
No, we only make to order. Through our intelligent unit assembly system we are in the position to meet the customers needs in the shortest possible time.

4) How long are your delivery times generally?
For the manufacture and delivery of our gas springs and dampers we need approximately 2 weeks. Small and sample orders can be supplied quicker.

The delivery time varies depending on the design and amount ordered. By request we will gladly give you an individual and binding delivery date.

5) Can the gas springs be installed anywhere?
Yes, but the choice of sealing system must be considered for the type and place of installation. Ideally the piston rod should be installed pointing downwards. If this is not the case the shock absorbing action will not, or only partly function.

6) Are gas springs maintenance free?
Yes, gas springs are maintenance free and ready to install. No greasing or service is necessary. To ensure absolute functionality it is possible to clean a soiled piston rod with water (no detergents!). 

7) Can gas springs be used in all temperature ranges?
Our standard products are for use in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C. For low temperatures down to -40°C and high temperatures up to +200°C special models are available.

8) Can the standard stroke be deviated from?
Yes, through our flexible unit assembly system standard stroke gas springs or dampers can be supplied in most cases. If this is not possible the piston rods will be manufactured to the customers requirement and wishes.
